In a world where connotation and denotation seem to merge, it is important to understand where you stand in your beliefs. In order to illustrate the language of society and culture, and the definitions that have been branded upon them, I divided the letterforms up via their horizontal and vertical axis. Providing a slit to see through the page, this interactive volume allows the reader to embrace the language from a new perspective. Far too often our words are censored by others and deemed unfit for today's culture. It is up to us to determine our own personal dictionary and to not stand by and allow culture to shape our worldview.
Words that are generally viewed negatively by the public begin to feel very organic and lively when deconstructed. This new viewpoint allows for new ideas and explorations.
